We ask for a name and an email because the link is emailed to you. That is the whole reason. What we do with it.

First run

Five minutes, start to tip-off

  • Install and open it. Two windows appear: the control panel and the display.
  • Pick standalone or connected. Standalone is Home versus Away with your own names. Connected pairs with Courtside Cloud and pulls your fixtures down.
  • Drag the display to the TV. Second monitor, HDMI, projector, whatever the hall has. Full screen it.
  • Show the Connect page. Scorers scan the QR code and they are on the sheet.
  • Start the clock. That is the setup finished.

What it needs

  • A laptop from roughly the last decade
  • A second screen for the display, if you want one
  • Any local network for the phones. A hotspot off the laptop is fine
  • No internet, no Python, no runtime to install first

On Windows, allow the firewall prompt the first time you run it. That is what lets the scorers' phones reach the laptop. Say no and the phones will not connect.
