Courtside is a proper basketball scoreboard for the laptop you already take to the gym. Game clock, shot clock, fouls, timeouts and full player stats, on the TV, on the projector and in your stream. It is free, and it does not need the internet to work.
Windows · macOS · Linux · No account needed to score a game.
Most leagues only ever need the first half. The second half is there when running the league starts taking longer than playing in it.
Installs on the venue laptop. Scores the game, drives the TV, feeds OBS, lets scorers tap on their phones over the hall's wifi. Works stood in a sports centre with no signal and no router. No account, no licence key, no per-game fee.
Build your teams, players and fixtures once on the web. The venue laptop pulls them down in one tap, so game night starts with the right names, numbers and crests already loaded. Press End Game and the result, box score and play by play land on your public league site.
Start Courtside. Two windows open: the control panel for the table, and the display for the TV or projector. Drag the display onto the second screen and you are ready.
Courtside shows a QR code. Scorers point a phone at it and land on the scorer sheet over the hall's own wifi. Tap +2, tap who scored. Fouls, assists, rebounds and steals all go in as they happen.
The final score locks. Offline you get the box score as CSV or JSON. On the cloud the result, stats and play by play publish to your league site before anyone has left the car park.
Every button is where it is because someone missed a basket reaching for it. Big targets, one screen, no menus during play.
Fonts, scripts, QR codes, all of it ships inside the app. The sports centre wifi going down is not your problem any more.
A separate full-screen display window sized for a hall. Readable from the far baseline, not a browser tab with a scoreboard in it.
A transparent scorebug plus quarter, player, stats, MVP and winner overlays. Paste the URL into OBS and it is live.
Tap the score, tap the player. Points, fouls, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks, counted properly without a paper sheet.
Live box score during the game, full play by play after it, and a CSV or JSON export you own outright.
One page with QR codes for the wifi, the scorer sheets, the control panel and the spectator view. Hand the phone over and point.
The overlay reads the same clock the TV does, so the time on your stream matches the time in the hall. Drop the URL into OBS as a browser source and leave it alone.
Set the season up once on the web. Standings, box scores, player pages and brackets build themselves as the games come in.
The Northeast Herts Basketball League plays every Friday night in Stevenage. Courtside keeps the clock, the scorers work off phones, the stream carries the scorebug, and nehbl.com is updated before the hall is locked up.

Yes. Download it, install it on as many laptops as you like, score as many games as you like. There is no account, no trial and no per-game charge. We make money from the cloud and the services, and only if you want them.
Nothing. The app, the fonts, the scripts and the QR codes all live on the laptop. Phones connect to the laptop over the hall's local network, which does not need to reach the internet. If you are on the cloud, the upload simply waits until you are back on a connection.
No. They scan a QR code and the scorer sheet opens in the phone's browser. Any phone, any age, no app store.
Yes. The app runs in standalone mode: Home versus Away, your own team names, logos and roster, full stats and an export at the end. The cloud is only worth it once you are running fixtures across several teams.
You do. The offline app writes to a database file on your laptop and exports CSV and JSON whenever you ask. If you ever leave the cloud, you take the lot with you.
Today, yes. The clock, shot clock, fouls and bonus are built around basketball rules. Other sports are on the list, so tell us which one you need.
Download the app and have it running before the warm-up finishes. Decide about the cloud whenever you feel like it.
